Due to the abundantly wet spring season and its effects on the speedway grounds, Ransomville Speedway canceled the racing program on Friday, May 19 and also canceled the scheduled Tuesday night practice session for May 23.
“We are working as hard as we can to provide the best racing surface for our drivers and give the fans the best racing possible,” said Ransomville Speedway General Manager Jenn Martin. “We prioritize driver and fan safety.”
To accommodate the schedule, we are pushing back the double features for the Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman to May 26, with double features for the Sportsman on June 2 as part of the Patriot Sprint Tour event. Double features for the 358 Modifieds will take place on June 9. The autograph session, originally scheduled for June 9, will now move to June 16.
The 60th season of racing at the Big R continues on Friday, May 26 as United Materials LLC and Snyder Industries presents Military Appreciation Night. All veterans and members of the military will receive free admission with proper ID. A full card of racing will be presented plus double features for the Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman. Gates will open in the pits at 5 p.m., with grandstands opening at 6 p.m. and racing at 7:15 p.m. Keep up with the action at www.ransomvillespeedway.com.
