Following the Holland Speedway’s release in October that announced the return of the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Pro Modifieds as the track’s top NASCAR division, the track has announced its 58th season schedule, highlighted by a number of WNY racing traditions.
The season kicks off with practice and heat races on Saturday, May 13, that will determine the opening day starting lineup for Saturday, May 20. Two fan-favorite CRASH-A-RAMA events will be held at the track on June 10 and September 9.
The Modifieds will return to Holland on Saturday, July 22 for the Holland Highbanks 100. Debuting this year will be the Summer Sizzler, a 200-lap Enduro race on Saturday, July 29 that will be made up 100 laps for 4-cylinders and 100 laps for 6-cylinders.
The annual George Decker Memorial and Labor Day Weekend 75-lap races for the Pro Modifieds are some of the best-known traditions in local racing, with dates of August 5 and September 2, respectively. The track has also announced the inaugural Butch Palmer Hornet 32, set to honor late Hornet driver and track fan favorite Butch Palmer, who passed away in the fall. The 32-lap feature commemorating his racing number and legacy will also take place on September 2.
The schedule will be updated regularly as sponsorships are allocated to different events, and more details are released during the offseason. Keep up with the off-season and view the entire schedule at www.hollandspeedway.com.
