Freedom Motorsports Park, the dirt track located at 11909 Marble Springs Rd. in Delevan, has posted a tentative 2017 schedule on its website, www.freedommotorsportspark.com. Regular racing action takes place Friday nights at 7:30 p.m., and includes Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Street Stocks, FWD Mini Stocks and RWD Mini Stocks.
The track will host a practice session on Sunday, May 7 as well as a season-opening Spring Enduro (more information forthcoming). Opening night for points racing is Friday, May 12 featuring all classes mentioned above.
The special events schedule kicks off with the third annual Ron Baker Memorial for the ULMS Super Late Models on May 26; the night also includes Sportsman, Street Stock and Mini Stock action. On June 9, the NY6A Mini Sprint Tour rolls into Freedom along with all regular classes, and June 16 is the second annual Bixby Hill Shootout, with a $750 top prize for the Street Stocks.
The NY6A Mini Sprints return on July 7, along with a $300-to-win Mini Stock feature, and the ULMS Super Late Models return on July 14. The third NY6A Mini Sprint race of the season hits the dirt on August 11.
The season winds down with two big events in September: the Freedom King of the Hill night (the last points night for the Sportsman class) on September 1 and the Night of Champions, featuring the NY6A Mini Sprints, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks on September 8. On Saturday, October 14, the track will host its Fall Enduro (more information forthcoming).
