Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway has announced its acquisition of the Niagara Swap Meet and Car Show, moving it from the Niagara County Fairgrounds to the speedway in 2017. It will be held on its traditional last weekend of June, but add Friday to the weekend event for the dates of June 23 - 25, 2017. In addition to the Swap Meet portion of the event, the Car Show, Car Corral and all the events that are part of the show’s tradition are currently planned to remain on the schedule.
“This is a large step for the track in adding events to our offering of uses for our facility,” said Tim Packman, Track President. “We worked closely with the owners of the show to ensure we make this transition to our location great for the vendors, car enthusiasts, attendees and current partners of the event.
“Al Thomas and Tony Cory of CHT Productions (prior owners) are going to stay on in a consulting role for this year’s event. We already have a tentative layout of the facility and how it will work for the vendors and participants. We are confident the areas we have available for everything will be beneficial to everyone involved. Our location will make attending the event more attractive for people from Central and Southern New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Southern Ontario regions, as well.”
In addition to the more than 340 vendors, the event will have a Car Corral, where people can sell their classic cars, and the annual Car Show – these are currently planned to occupy part of the racing areas. The track is looking to have a preview day on Friday and live band later that night for all involved.
The show will then take place during the daytime on Saturday and Sunday giving everyone a chance to see and experience all aspects of the event. Vendors and participants will be getting information from the track in the near future.
Anyone with questions about the event are encouraged to call the track and/or leave message at 716-759-6818 or send an email to email@example.com.
