Third-generation driver Erick Rudolph of Ransomville took home the win in the second running of the Pete Cosco Memorial for the DIRTcar Modifieds at Humberstone Speedway, honoring late speedway owner Pete Cosco, who passed away two years ago. It was Rudolph’s second victory in the Cosco Memorial. Brad Rouse won his sixth PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman main event of the season, while Dennis Lunger Jr. won his seventh Pinty’s Delicious Foods RUSH Late Models feature of the season. Bill Bleich Jr. earned his third win of the season in the JC Auto Street Stocks, Jason Coutu picked up his second Cosco Haulage Mini Stocks feature of 2016, and Dylan Llord drove to his 10th win of the season in the Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks.

DIRTcar Modifieds, both big and small blocks, took the green flag for the 75-lap Pete Cosco Memorial with Mike Bowman and Scott Wood leading the field to green. Mat Williamson took the lead on Lap 3, holding on until Lap 55, when Rudolph took over the point. In the final 20 circuits, Rudolph held off challenges from Williamson and Chris Steele, eventually driving away from the pair in the late going to go on to pick up the victory.

Joey Mastrioanni and Rob Knapp led the PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman to green, with Mastrioanni jumping into the lead. Mastrioanni continued to show the way until Rouse drove on the outside to take the lead on Lap 14. Rouse pulled away from Cody McPherson and Chad Chevalier to collect another feature win.
