Forecasted rain showers for Saturday afternoon and evening forced the cancelation of stock car racing at both Lancaster National Speedway and Holland International Speedway on Saturday, August 13.
Stock car racing resumes at Lancaster on Saturday, August 20 with the 27th Annual Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak Memorial Modified 110 for the Race of Champions Modified Series, where teams will use the inner-oval for live pit stops. The Advance Auto Parts Street Stocks, Roaming Buffalo 4-Cylinder and NYPA TQ Midgets will also be in action. Racing will begin an hour earlier at 5:30 p.m. Adult general admission tickets are just $20, kids 12-17 are $10 and kids under 12 are free. Find out more at www.lancasternationalspeedway.com.
All Holland tickets that were dated for August 13 are good for the program on August 20, which is Firefighter Family Night, offering free admission to firefighters and their families, as well as Library Night, offering children that read two books a free pass to the races from the Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries. A full NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program will be on track, with the Pro Chargers running twin features.
