Tim Welshans and Zach Myers picked up the wins in the twin feature events for the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Agency NASCAR Pro Chargers on WNY Sportsman Night Saturday at Holland International Speedway. Bob Bogner got credited with the victory in the Bank of Holland Hornets and Darryl Phillips picked up the win in the Rookie 4’s. Brandon DeBrakeleer won in the INEX Legends class and James Steins Wales took the win in the M&M U Pull-It Figure 8 car feature.

Welshans took the lead on Lap 6 of the first Pro Chargers feature and held off Zach Myers and Tom Northem to pick up the victory, his first since winning the track title 10 seasons ago. Northem and Brown both failed post-race inspection after the first feature. In the second race, Myers took the lead on a Lap 13 restart and held off Nik Welshans, Dave Vona, Ted Welshans and Tim Welshans to pick up the victory.

Bogner benefitted from another competitor’s failed post-race inspection in Hornets, picking up the win. He was followed to the line by Josh Hill, Jeff Szafraniec, George Anthony and Ryan Palmer. Phillips took the lead on Lap 2 of the Rookie 4’s feature and took off with a ten-car-length advantage over the field. Phillips was able to pull away to pick up the win. DeBrakeleer took over the lead on Lap 7 of the INEX Legends feature and held off Carl Vilardo and Bryce Norton to pick up the win, his second win of the season at Holland Speedway. Steins and Sharon Hughes ran in the top two for much of the M&M U Pull-It Figure 8 feature event before Steins pulled away to score the win with Don Haskell coming home in third; it was Steins’ first win in eight years.
