National weekend wrap-up: June 17-19, 2016

Xfinity Series – Sam Hornish Jr., who hadn’t been in a race car in approximately seven months, made it look easy Sunday at Iowa Speedway, winning the American Ethanol E15 250 presented by Enogen in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18. Ty Dillon, Brad Keselowski, Daniel Suarez and Alex Bowman completed the top five in Iowa.

Camping World Truck Series – Rookie William Byron put his Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra back in victory lane Saturday, winning the Speediatrics 200 at Iowa Speedway over Cole Custer and Cameron Hayley. Ben Rhodes and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five.

NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series – Funny Car driver Tommy Johnson Jr. picked up his first Wally of 2016 Sunday at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway in Tennessee. Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel) and Jason Line (Pro Stock) were also winners of their respective categories.
