The Tread City Tire Street ET took center stage at Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway on Friday, June 24 with a special $250-to-win race. In the final round, Kale Wischman broke out by .001 seconds to hand the win to Tim Markle of Hilton, N.Y.
Reid Ricketson of Darien Center scored his fourth win of the year in McGard Mod ET, driving past brother Clay in the semifinals and twin brother Ryan in the finals. Mike Peters of Angola had a big night in Hebeler’s Sales Sleds & Bikes, starting as the No. 1 qualifier and proceeding to record the best reaction time during eliminations; he then beat Tony Bellucco in the finals for his second win of the 2016 season.
In Top 8, Jim Mallare Jr. of Lancaster denied Wayne Cleveland his second win of the season, using a hole shot advantage off the starting line to narrowly defeat Cleveland for the victory. Paul Cochi of Amherst earned his win of the season in Mallare Enterprises Top ET, defeating Paul Young in the finals.
Coming up this Friday, July 1 it is the most talked about event of the season at Lancaster National Dragway as Kamikaze Chris and Boosted GT from the Street Outlaws reality TV show come to Lancaster to take on the Buffalo Street Outlaws. Tickets are now available for just $25 on the Lancaster National Dragway website and at the track office during regular business hours.
