Boland wins Pro Mods, Ryan Ricketson doubles up at Lancaster Dragway

Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario picked up the $5,000 check for winning Thursday’s second annual Pro Modified Shootout at Lancaster National Dragway, making him a two-time winner in the event. Boland defeated Frank Malvaso and Moe Alfaqih in the first two rounds before besting Gary Grahner in the finals.

In Thursday’s Box/No-Box Shootout, Timothy Fletcher won the Box Shootout over Pete D’Agnolo, while Ryan Ricketson bested his brother Reid in the No-Box Shootout.

On Friday night, Wayne Cleveland of Williamsville won both Quick 16 and Mallare Enterprises Top ET. Cleveland picked up the Quick 16 win over Mark Talmadge, then defeated veteran Jan Winkowski in Top ET.

Ricketson earned his second win of the week at Lancaster, taking top honors in McGard Mod ET over Keith Banas. In the Gasser Racing Series (GRS), Rod Pontlitz got the win in the GRS Gassers class when Randy Kirker red-lighted in the finals, while Jim LaFauve picked up the GRS Mod victory, holding off Paul Wandt.

In Hebeler’s Sales Sleds & Bikes, Mike Campagna got the win after Mike Nearhoof left the line too soon, and Matt Hughes benefitted from a red light by Daniel Knab to take the victory in Tread City Tire Street ET.

Next Friday, June 17, Lancaster National Dragway hosts Ladies Night with the Queen of Diamonds Jet Dragster. Lancaster will run two special Ladies only classes (Pro & Amateur) with each winner taking home a diamond ring, plus all four weekly classes. Find out more at www.lancasternationalspeedway.com
