The Buffalo Street Outlaws got their final tune up in at Lancaster National Dragway Friday night before they take on Boosted GT and Kamikaze Chris from the Street Outlaws reality TV show on Friday, July 1. Moe Alfaqih of Cheektowaga took the win over Chris MacKenzie, who broke and couldn’t make it to the line, while Terry Doyle of Grand Island picked up the win in BSO-Street Limited by a margin of less than .0001 seconds over Brian Prior, one of the closest finishes in Lancaster National Dragway history.
The regular Franco’s Pizza Friday Night IHRA Drag Racing program found Zell Gaymon of Buffalo in victory lane with his second-straight win in Top 8, while Reid Ricketson scored his third-straight win in McGard Mod ET.
Michael Neri of Cheektowaga scored his first win of the season in Mallare Enterprises Top ET, while 2014 track champion Mike Peters took the win in Hebeler’s Sales Sleds & Bikes. Tim Markle of Hilton picked up the win in Tread City Tire Street.
The second annual Pro-Mod Shootout has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 9 due to impending weather on Tuesday, June 7. Back gates open at 3 p.m., front gates at 4 p.m. and time trials start at 5 p.m. There will be a Box/No-Box Shootout for our weekly racers.
