National weekend wrap-up: May 6-7, 2016

Sprint Cup Series – Kyle Busch knocked another track off of his “no wins” list, taking the checkered flag Saturday night in the Go Bowling 400 at Kansas Speedway and becoming the first three-time winner this season in the series. Kevin Harvick finished second, followed by his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate and elder Busch brother Kurt in third. Veteran Matt Kenseth and rookie Ryan Blaney finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Camping World Truck Series – Kyle Busch Motorsports driver William Byron added to his boss’ great weekend with a last-lap win on Friday night in the Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas. Byron was third going into the final turns of the race when lead trucks Johnny Sauter and Ben Rhodes got together in front of him. Matt Crafton finished second, followed by Daniel Hemric, Christopher Bell and Cup Series moonlighter Clint Bowyer.
